You're dancing with a homicidal maniac!

Did the animators even read the manga?

  1. To be fair, she doesn't act much like a homicidal maniac in the anime.

  2. Well, that's the thing. Her character isn't anything like it is in the manga. Anime didn't have enough Birdy either :(

  3. The Anime is totally different story, unrelated to the manga or the previous OVA (which was unrelated to the manga as well). Just think of the anime as some sort of a Parallel Universe, which has no relation to the manga Universe, with different characters, plot and backstory.

  4. The Birdy anime had a more sympathetic Birdy Cephon who was much more of a "bro" than the manga version which still sort of has a slight condescending feel towards Tsutomu. Or at least the manga hasn't been able to dispell that aspect for me at least.

  5. Look at those hips moving. No way she's an homicidal maniac. She enjoys dancing too much.

  6. It's called low-profile. She is like a predator, waiting for the perfect moment to strike that old lady she's dancing with. And look that devious, sadistic smile she's having - probably thinking what part to rip-off first when the right time comes.

    BOOOO! Scaaryy, isn't it!?
