Gomez is, no doubt, one of the very interesting characters in the series. I'm pretty eager to see if this leads to a confrontation between either Tsutomu or Birdy and Gomez in the next chapter. Looking forward to more of these translations!
i know your churning chapters out pretty fast, (when i first found birdy the mighty i thought it would be updated monthly at the very most) but this manga is extremely good, and translations are excelent, is there any chance of cloning yourself to get more birdy awesomeness? no? all well, ill endure. somehow.
to kronos: Cloning won't help. Sorry to disappoint you, but if Ronin clones himself, then you'll have to wait 9 months until Ronin Jr. is born + at least several years until the clone learns proper English and Japanese, how to translate, edit, etc. And that's the very best case scenario.
By then our awesome translator would have finished scanlating Birdy years ago.
Whoa, put the scalpel down...brain stays in skull! Although cloning is not an option, I have a few friends who are literate in Japanese. One day, I may "shang-hai" them into helping translate. So far, I'm only a few years behind the current volume :)
hey, i cant promise anything, but i might be learning japanese sometime in the near future (if phsycology is too hard), if i get good enough id love to help out
(birdy, along with asuka hybrid and neko de gomen, are the three top manga i would learn japanese just to read/translate)
Have you tried "Cat Shit One" (also known as "Apocalypse Meow")? It's a great manga and have bunnies versus cats with guns and Vietnam War. There are 3 volumes translated, but there is also volume 0 and at least one spin-off "Cat Shit One '80". And also 3D short movie: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=6473.
